Personal Statement
My name is Lance Gifford. My height is 6'0, I weigh 170 pounds, and my 40 time is a 4.53. I have four years of experience playing quarterback in highschool and one year playing safety in highschool. Two years playing for Lower Makefield Football Association as a running back/wide receiver/linebacker/cornerback. I bring a good attitude to the team. For the highschool's JV football team, I was considered one of the team captains. I lead the team, getting through thick and thin. And in my senoir year of varsity football, I became the Senoir Varsity Captain for our squad and did the same thing. I have always dreamed and set a goal to play college football, and I will never give up on that dream. If possible play for the pros. Even if that means the NFL, UFL, AFL, or even the Canadian Football League. I want to play the game as long as I possibly can play, until football quits me. I want to play for the best schools that I can play for. The school I am looking for would have to have not only a great football program, but obviously a great academic program as well. I would appreciate any financial assistance. My desired major would be in biology or chemistry field. I might want to try Pre-Med and possibly major in Business and Adminstration. My athletic goals would be to play at the highest competition level possible and become the best player/athlete I can be in whatever position I play best at. I would love to be a part of a winning college football team and help be a part of a championship season. I love to compete! And one last note, to all universities recruiting, I have the will, desire, determination, heart and hustle to add to a football team. If you have me on your team, you will notice I do extra reps, I'm the first person on the field, and the last one who comes off the field. I work hard, and I may not be where I need to be in terms physical being, but I thank God everyday I'm not where I used to be. Because I know that the amount of time and dedication I put towards my sport or my area is 100% worth the results in the end. Because a winner is someone who works to become a champion all the time, even when no one is watching. Pain is only temporary, but success lasts forever.
