Joseph Dawida '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'3", 205 lb. quarterback from Industry, PA where I have been the starting quarterback for the Western Beaver Varsity team and starting quarterback for both my junior varsity and junior high teams. My Junior year I had been a MSA Player of the Week as well as had a nomination for a Beaver County Play of the Year. I am in the National Honors Society and have been in the gifted program at my school since 3rd grade. I am also currently dual enrolled at Penn State Beaver and the University of Pittsburgh, and I anticipate graduating from high school with 12-15 college credits completed. I realize that I come from a small school, but I believe that my abilities far outweigh what our team record indicates. I have worked with Pete Gonzales, former Pitt QB and Pittsburgh Steelers backup QB, to enhance my athletic skills and leadership both on and off the football field. In addition to the above, I routinely train at a F.A.S.T.E.R. facility which offers a prehabilitation program that targets acl/mcl/pcl prevention, flexibility, balance, and speed. I also train on vibration plates which create involuntary muscle fiber firing patterns and high speed treadmills which are used for safe over speed training. This has increased my speed and agility tremendously. I am openly exploring schools on the East Coast but would not rule out any opportunity presented to me. Thank you for your consideration.
