Personal Statement
My sophomore year changed my football career and my commitment to the sport forever. I was to small to be any significant impact for my team on the line of scrimmage during that. I was angry with myself that I hadn't focus much on football that offseason and trained to be a better player. The worse part is that I was on the sideline while my team struggled to a 4-6 record and missed the playoffs. At the end of the season, I promised myself junior year would be different and it has.
During the offseason I work hard in the gym and during spring practices. I became bigger, faster, and stronger. I became a leader and finished fifth in a team captain vote done by my teammates. This season has become much different from last season. I was able to start in all of the games and help my team have a winning season. To end, if your loooking for some who is willing to work extremely hard, become a leader, and help any way to win, then I hope you will consider myself as a posssible recruit.
This past season, my team finished 8-4 and reached the district semifinals. I myself had a total of 65 tackles on the season. Eight of those tackles were for loss and another six were sacks. I was awarded section 1 lineman of the week in week 6 of the season. I was also awarded all section for offense and defense. Also, awarded my teams defensive player of the year.
On the academics side, I have maintain a almost perfect GPA. I take honor classes and many tough electives. I achieve superior honors every report card. My goal is to get a 3.1 or higher GPA in college. My teachers are impressed with the way I balance school and football.
