Personal Statement
Having an extremely successful midget football team is completely the catalyst for me continuing my football career. Going to the playoffs my freshman year showed me how a desire to win no matter the circumstance and motivating your teammates can send a team/player anywhere. Bumping my squat max up 200 pounds in the offseason alone, the desire simply to win drove me to work tirelessly to become a starter on the varsity team as a sophomore. That logic still stands today and has driven me to work on improving my strength in the weight room, my speed, and leadership qualities. A strong work ethic makes me extremely capable of playing center or defensive line at the collegiate level.
Of my three years in high school, I have made highest honors on the honor roll for each of them. Being apart of countless wins in my high school career in only the matter of three years, along with starting and earning a varsity letter as sophomore, and being awarded All-Conference HM and Offensive Line MVP as a junior caused me to believe that anything is possible with the desire to win. Over these three years I learned leadership, sacrifice, comradery and determination. Now, I'm seeking a university that will fit me well both academically and athletically. With my ability athletically to play center and my strong academics, I believe that I can star in a role within your program, and make a strong impact where I am placed. Being a two time returning starter already going into my senior year, I strongly believe that it makes me a strong asset in college football.
