Currently, the program of studies I am interested in is nursing. With the honor classes I'm taking now, I feel this will help to build my character on and off the field. I am confident that I can compete at a collegiate level.
I began playing football at the age of 9. From the ages 9-12 I had to lose at least 20 lbs a year to play at a youth level. Through hard work and determination, I was able to accomplish this. Running 5 miles a day and eating a well-balanced diet led me to get a starting position at center and long snapper as a freshman. Also as a freshmen, I took over a starting senior lineman position. This was a big accomplishment for me; many youths look up to me because of this.
My sophomore year, I became captain of the weight room and offensive line. I played both sides of the ball as a guard and linebacker. At guard, I ran lead block for the leading rusher in the Wyoming Valley Conference. I received Honorable Mention for offensive line. This year, I was awarded first team all-stars as an offensive lineman. Next year I hope to make all conference and all-state. I am a trustworthy and responsible player and I will be a strong addition to the college community.
