Positively self-motivated, enthusiastic, responsible, intelligent, caring, driven, and easy-going: if one of my coaches were asked to recommend Hunter Wacik as a possible recruit, these are adjectives I would hope he would use to describe me. For these characteristics and much more, I would make a valuable candidate for a college team member.
I put everything I have into my team's success. I am very passionate about football and the way my performance both on and off the field can impact the team. I have heart and am a hard-worker. My "don't quit" attitude helps me persevere through adversities whether it relates to a tough opponent or academics. I study my play book regularly and always try to be over-prepared.
Academics are my top priorities. I'm currently enrolled in two Advanced Placement and two honors level classes, and I have been on the honor roll numerous times. I have also twice received the President's Award for Educational Excellence. After high school, my goal is to attend a four year college. While in college, I would like to study science with an emphasis in medicine, and I plan to obtain a bachelor's degree in my chosen field and likely continue my education beyond a four year degree.
I fully understand that in the off-season, I need to focus on my weak points and try to continue to improve. I have trained at Full Circle Fitness where I have taken advantage of their Powerhouse and Plyometrics classes. I participated with my team in the St. Luke's Sports and Human Performance Center's Speed Training program, and have worked on speed and strength at Corexcell Training. In my current off season, I am working hard to improve my speed and strength to prepare for the next level with a personalized program at FASST Performance. Additionally, I lift weights and run regularly. I participated on the Varsity Track and Field team for the past two years. Lastly, I have enjoyed attending a variety of football camps and combines offered by local colleges.
I know that I am not the biggest or the fastest, but I play with everything I have, I never give up, I never quit. College football has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and I am working diligently to achieve my ultimate goal.
