Personal Statement
My name is Taylor Bertolet, a junior at Exeter Township High School, Reading, PA. I have played many sports in my life and my favorite is football. I play many positions on the team, but my true passion is kicking. At the end of my sophomore year I started kicking with no tee and found I kicked better this way. Every day after a three hour practice I will stay for an extra hour to practice my kicking. It is with this hard work and dedication that I have achieved many awards and have won many kicking competitions.
My dream is to play at a Division I college to make and be the difference on my team. I love to handle high pressure situations. That's the difference between me and everyone else. I can't wait for the day when it is up to me to make that big time kick and win the game for my team. Goals that I have set for myself are to play at a Division 1 college, win the Lou Groza award, and win a national championship. I feel that my determination and hard work ethic on the football field carries over to the classroom as well. I've always succeeded in achieving academic recognition and plan to continue this in college. I plan on majoring in Education or Criminal Justice.
