My Junior year playing football was the highlight thus far in my young career. Souderton went 8-2 during that season making the state playoffs. In my junior year, I contributed to both sides of the ball starting at both wide receiver and free safety. Wide receiver was new to me as my natural position to this point on offense was Quarterback, as I was the starting quarterback on the JV squad during my sophomore season. As a free safety, I was named All-Suburban One League -honorable mention. This season, we all played for each other and the cohesiveness was something I’ll always remember. I felt like I grew the most as a student athlete during my junior year as I had to earn my starting spot on offense and defense for varsity football. I also play basketball and early on in my Junior year, I did not see much court time at all on varsity. But by mid-basketball season as a Junior I was starting and contributing. I attribute all of this to my consistent hard work, dedication to the team, and can-do attitude. These experiences showed me that hard work does matter and that it can be rewarded.
I feel blessed to be a part of such an amazing football program at our school and have grown to learn the value of commitment and leadership. I would like to continue in college as a student athlete and I am looking for a program that fits me in both aspects. I believe if you reached out to both my high school football and basketball coach the one thing both of them will tell you is how hard I work and how coachable I am. I am slotted to start at quarterback next year as a senior after spending my junior year at wide receiver. This speaks volumes in that I am always willing to do what’s best for the team. I would like to bring this attitude and leadership to your program!
