Personal Statement
I'm a 5'10, 180 pounds athlete and I've now been playing American football for the past 8 years. Through my life, being a competitive individual, I've played several team sports always seeking for competition and brotherhood. At 12 years in a flag football tournament an opponent told me after our victory that I had a good performance because we didn't play tackle football; that I wouldn't have success in that sport and that it was too physical for elusive player like myself.. The very next year I was putting shoulder pads for the first time of my life with a chip on my shoulder, chip that never left since.
Since, I always have aspired to make it the collegiate level. God has allowed me to play the game at a high level always trying to have a positive impact on and off the field through dedication and commitment in everything I do. I work hard to be a noticeable team leader and aim to lead by example to the eyes of my teammates. Always striving to improve my skills and training to get bigger, faster and stronger. I'm a motivated young man, willing to make the sacrifices to be successful. I'm looking for an opportunity to achieve my dream and represent my school. I'm a coachable and cerebral type of player with a great work ethic.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA while also acting as a helping hand for our school student association. Ultimately, I'm looking for scholarship, a chance to contribute to a college program and being part of something big. I'm open to all options and aspire to become a great role model to the eyes of my family, ex teammates, coaches and citizens who I had the chance to encounter.
