Austin Barrett '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal has always been to excel at playing football while accomplishing an engineering degree.  I’ve persevered through many challenges and my motivation is to enhance my academics and athleticism.  Throughout my years in sports, I have been praised for my character, dedication and leadership skills.  I've proven my character by working hard on my academics and not allowing myself to get involved with things that can derail all of my goals. My motto is, "Life is a balance beam" and falling off only provides me with a greater challenge.  I take all challenges seriously and use them as motivation to excel. I always feel that my heart and passion for the game, including my hard work, create the base of my legacy.  As a part of your team, I will bring my good character, dedication, leadership skills and motivation.  I can be counted on to display these traits on and off the field.  I am grateful for the opportunity to play football and will always give my team everything I have.
