Personal Statement
I have been playing football since I was nine years old and since then I have always loved the sport. Ever since I started playing football it has always been a goal of mine to play at the college level.
I have worked hard to better myself and my team at football. One of the biggest highlights of my career was getting to play in the state championship my freshman year. On and Off-season I continue to work out at the fitness center following workouts my coaches have instructed me to do. I also have been active in basketball, traveling basketball, track, baseball, and flag football. I was selected to all conference team my junior year in football. I also had a very good track season with placing fourth in the 110m hurdles and fifth place in the 300m hurdles in the state in the B division. I am always trying to improve myself and my team. Practices and games I try to lead by example for others to look towards as a leader.
To me, maintaining my GPA and my grades mean a lot to me. I always get all my homework done before I go and do anything. I have been active during my high school years in band, FFA, FCCLA, National Honor Society, St.Martin's Catholic Youth group, 4-H, and 4-H shooting sports. I have also worked that last two summers as a life guard/swim instructor for the Emery City Pool, prior to that job I worked for the Emery Summer Recreational group coaching baseball to 5 year to 11 year old boys and I spent a summer working for my father in his electrical business.
I want to attend a college where I can prepare myself for my future. I want to continue to use the talents that I have been given to play football at the college level and help me with my education. I think that continue to be active in the sport I love will continue to help me grow into the person that I am meant to be. I am open to all options and I am wanting to find the best college match for me. I am hoping to make my parents proud and be a great role model for my brothers.
