Personal Statement
2015, my junior year, was an extremely successful and fulfilling year at Langford Area football. We accomplished what we set out to do, which was having an undefeated season and winning the South Dakota 9B State Championship title. I was honored with the Joe Robbie MVP, and the Outstanding Back for the championship game, as well as setting 3 state records across any class of football (11 or 9 man)...longest ever touchdown run (93yards), most yards rushing in a championship game (350 yards), and most points (32). Throughout the year I was honored with the Elite 45, All-State running back, All-Conference MVP, Aberdeen American News Athlete of the Week, All-Area 36, and also Midco 9B Football Player of the Year. In my junior year I rushed for 2,352 yards and 41 touchdowns. Playing at a small school has given me incredible advantages. As a freshman, I was honored to play with some outstanding seniors, starting as middle linebacker, ending the season as the leading tackler. My sophomore year, I started as running back and middle linebacker, my friends/teammates assisted me in becoming leading rusher and tackler. I received Aberdeen American News Athlete of the week, Subway Player of the Game, Lake-Region All Conference, the 36 All-Area Team, placed 2nd in the 100M dash at the South Dakota State Track meet, and the SD National Guard and DSU coaching staff named me the outstanding running-back at the Arlington/Lake Preston team camp...thanks to my outstanding teammates and dedicated coaches. Although I play baseball and run track, football is a year round sport for me. I am really looking to continue my football career after high school and would be honored to play at the highest level possible where I can still make an impact on the team. I promise you that I will wake up each morning and give my team a 150% effort. That includes academics, social integrity, and of course, football. My plan at this point is to major in Biology as academics are extremely important to me, currently holding a 4.0 average. I will also bring a head-strong toughness to any program I attend. I get into the weight room 4 to 5 days a week, and I'm always trying to improve myself for my football squad. I hope to keep increasing my statistics as my high school career goes on, and I will strive to be the best I can be on and off the field. I attend many camps in the summer and I love to travel. If you give me the chance I will give you, and my future team, everything that I have.
