Personal Statement
I love the power I feel when I put on my cleats, my shoulder pads, and then my helmet while listening to my hard rock favorites. It's a ritual where I switch from the nice guy next door with great grades to the mauler, the bulldozer, the punisher and the beast in order to play a sport I have loved all my life to help lead my team to victory. I love the crowd, the announcer, the band, the bright field lights and the excitement in the air, as the sun sets on the western sky. I want to continue this passion and love by playing football in college. As I've given my all in high school on and off the field, my goals are to do the same at the next level. I'm extremely motivated, dependable and hard working. Even though I've started every year in high school and made great grades, I don't take anything for granted. I leave everything on the field and in the classroom, as I never want to have any regrets. I'm always looking for ways to grow, to learn and to improve. I'm a leader by showing my teammates that I have great work ethic and give great effort. I help the younger lineman with workouts, film, drills, learning plays and tips that have helped me in games to win the battle in the trenches. Oh, how I love those trenches, as that's where games are won. I'm a "team first" player as those players are my brothers and I'm there to protect them. I vow never to be selfish and always putting the best for the team above what is only best for me. With playing football, I can merge my two goals together at a great college by playing the game I love and earning my degree in Finance/Real Estate/Business by graduating with the highest grades possible. I love looking forward to this next step in my career to be the best I can be.
