Personal Statement
Ever since the first time I stepped on the field at 8 years old I have loved the game of football. I love the competition, contact, and teamwork it takes to be successful. I strive to be the hardest worker on the field, including against my own teammates. I also try to play with the most heart out of everyone on the field. I believe that no one can give someone effort. Effort is strictly between me and myself and I put forth every ounce of effort I have on and off the field. My work ethic is like no other. I work very hard on the field, in the weight room, and the classroom. I have been raised to be competitive, so I compete at everything. I enjoy football because I feel like football brings out my competitiveness. I am not scared of any obstacle or task that is put in front of me. I just try to do the very best that I possibly can do at whatever it is that I am doing.
I am just as good on the field as I am in the classroom. I am a focused and hard working student. I understand the hard work and preparation it takes to be successful. I take the initiative to figure things out even if I do not at first understand what is going on. For example, if I am uncertain of something I will ask questions for clarification. I understand there are rules in the classroom just like there are rules in football. I stay on task and have no problem following the directions or the rules, so there isn't any disciplinary issues in the classroom.
