Personal Statement
I am one of three boys and one girl from a family who grew up on a ranch. All I have ever known is to work hard and enjoy it. I have an older brother who skipped a grade, was a great football player at 6'4 250 at 16 and was a D1 athlete in Track and Field. My sister is being looked at by several schools for her running ability and horse jumping ability. Me, I am the football player. It is all I have ever wanted to do. I work at practice then head to D1 to work more on my speed and agility. I am 16 and the youngest in my grade, but, at 6'4 and 250, Iam able to hold my own with any high school player at camp, in the weight room and on the field. As a Freshman I earned a starting position on Varsity at a 6A school playing both ways. I am ready to play ball at the next level, to learn and be coached and to give my all every day. I believe my coaches and anyone I have worked for, will attest to my work ethic. Although our team now is supposed to be the best our coach has coached in 20 years, our greatest accomplishment is our being able to play as a team. I am working to build weight and strength. I now play both ways almost never coming out except on special teams. I am on track this year to record over 12 sacks if all goes well.
So as I am deep in my high school career my goals are simple. I want to be a good man and represent my family. I want to lead by example on and off the field. Most importantly, I want to be the best possible football player (ok, Defensive Football player, I know Manning played here) from Tennessee. I am going to give my everything to be the best at each level until I get where I want to go........to play at a top D1 program and learn from the best and then hopefully on from there.
