Personal Statement
Since I can remember, I have had a goal of playing college football. My passion for the game grows as each day passes. My long term goals are to perform with excellence on the field and in the classroom during college, graduate with a degree, and to work toward earning an opportunity to attain a position in the NFL. Early adversity as a child pushes me day in and day out to ensure these goals will become a reality. In doing so, I hope to perfect my craft as quarterback and maturely grow into the man God wants me to be, and have a platform to inspire those who have been told they "can't" achieve what they desire.
I am the exemplary candidate for a college football team for many reasons. I am passionate and a student of the game of football. I am and always will be the hardest worker on the field and off the field to achieve the closest to perfection I can. I am a people person and I want the best for my team. I respect my teammates no matter what age or status they are on the team. I am a leader, first and foremost, by example and truly believe my actions serve as an example for others. Also, I pride myself on being very coachable by internalizing all coaching points and doing everything in my power to apply it in the needed areas. I consider myself level headed and believe that a positive, winning mentality rallies my team to victory.
Lastly, I strive daily to be a better leader by being humble, disciplined, hard working, courageous, and motivational. These aspects help me to live boldly in life and on the field. I know with my heart, determination, and God's blessings, I can succeed at the next level, should I be given the opportunity.
