I won’t try to hype you into selecting me to play at the next level with a bunch of pumped up words that tell you how great I am and what I can do for you and your team. You’ve heard it all before. Rather, I sincerely hope I can convince you to help me become a better football player and keep my football story alive. Someone did the same for you once and maybe you can do the same for me now. The same as I will do someday for a player deserving a chance.
Every time I walk on the practice field I really hope I walk off the field a better player. There is always something to be learned and I want to learn as much as I can when given the chance. I’m not the kind of player satisfied knowing just enough to get by. I want to be prepared and I want to use that knowledge to help my brothers and my team.
If I’m given the chance to keep my football story alive at the next level I will use the lessons I’ve learned on the football field in the classroom. There is always something to be learned and I want to walk out of the classroom a better student than when I walked in. I want to go to law school as my grandfather did and help those who can't always help themselves.
I respect all but fear none,
Jake Rima
