My name is Hunter Williams. I will be a Senior next school year. Graduate in 2023. I currently go to Halls High School in Knoxville TN. I have played football since 3rd grade. This season, I played both offense and defense. My positions were running back and line backer. Another achievement for me was to be a participant in the Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa when I was nine years old. I placed 23rd in the Nation for my age group in Shot Put.
I feel the unconditional love my mom has for me and 7 years ago my stepdad (who I call my dad) making our lives complete, has molded me into who I am today. I have always had a passion and desire to play football. I truly believe my God given talent is the ability to play football and excel at it. I also have a BIG HEART for young, less fortunate children that want to play football as well. My desire is to one day help them to reach their goal.
My grandfather always wanted to see me play football. Four years ago he died, so he never saw me on the field. When I scored my first touchdown, my grandmother said to me, “Popee would be so proud if he were here tonight.” I told her, “tonight, he has the best seat in the house.”
To sum everything up, I want to show my family how appreciative I am for their love, support, and sacrifices for me being able to turn my life long dream into a reality.
