Personal Statement
The beginning of my football journey started in the 6th grade. I wanted to try out for the Northeast football team, but the coach told me they were not letting 6th graders play that year. I ended up in the football coaches P.E. class. The coach had us running the 40 yard dash and I ran so fast, I ran out of my shoes. Coach walked up to me and asked me, "Why didn't I try out for the football team" and I explained to him why. He told me that day, that he wanted me on his team the next year. My 7th grade year, is when it all began. From that point on, I've been one of the starting running backs at every school I have attended. My 8th grade year I received "Offensive Player of the year".
My high school year has been more than amazing. All 3 years in high school, we have won the commissioners cup and I am extremely happy, to be a part of that. I learned so much from being a football player. I learned how tough i am and how disciplined I am. I learned how to become a leader, a teammate and dependable. I would like to be a part of a school that can help me athletically and academically. Not only will you be receiving an athlete, but a leader, hard worker, dedicated, committed, respectful individual. I've ran track and played basketball also, but football is my favorite. I am looking forward to being a part of your team.
