I can’t remember a time in my life that I didn’t love football. My father and grandfather love the sport, and I have grown up watching and playing this game. Before living with my father and step mother full time, I lived in a home where I saw my mother abused on a regular basis. It took a great deal of courage to tell herI wanted to leave, to give myself a chance in a better environment. I have learned that I am just as mentally strong as physically strong. I push through adversity when it stares me in the face. Once I got to my current school, and have become a key player for the team, I have overcome injuries and setbacks. Each time I have persevered through these obstacles and still hold my starting positions.
My goal is to finish high school with at least a 3.0 GPA and 21 on the ACT. I would like to play football on the college level while pursuing a degree in sports medicine/athletic training. I am a natural athlete and leader on and off the field. As a member of the leadership council on my team, I help make decisions for the team as a whole. I respect my teammates and coaches, and have earned their respect in return.
I strive to be better than I was yesterday; and plan to be better tomorrow than I am today. Above all, I want to follow the will of God, and His plan for me.
