Taylor Yancey '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'1" 200lb Quarterback at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tn.  I was a 3 year starter on our Varsity team. I have lead our district in completion percentage for the last 3 years, and was the only sophomore selected to the All District team. My goals are to play D1 football and beyond. In order to make that happen I continue to work as hard as I can in the weight room, on the field, and in the classroom. In the classroom I have a 3.95 GPA on a medical related curriculum path. I have a 22 ACT, and I have been apart of BETA and DECA club in the past. I am also active in Young Life (a Christian Youth group at our school). I take all honors classes, and currently taking 3 Dual Enrollment classes.  I am planning to be a pre-med student with a goal of becoming an Orthopedic PA.  In the weight room I continue to work hard to gain mass, strength, and flexibility. At least 3 days a week you can find me working out before or after school, and am a regular at Hot Yoga.  On the field my goal is to be a leader. A player that leaves it all on the field. I want to continue to grow in my knowledge of the game, as well as the technical aspects of being a quarterback. I try very hard not to fail at anything I do, but I do understand the value in learning from my setbacks. My goals are D1 football, but I am open to all schools as long as we are good fit on the field and in the classroom. I know that this challenge ahead of me will be difficult, but one I am going to work hard for. I will continue to be a leader on and off the field. I will be responsible for my actions on and off the field. I will keep my faith in God strong, and will be ready for the future ahead of me.
