For me, football is life. Ever since I was little, I remember putting on the fake shoulder pads and helmet, going outside, and pretending I was Barry Sanders sprinting for a long run . Throughout my life, I have learned to become a student of the game, and I believe that's part of the reason why I have such a passion for the game. There is nothing that can't be improved or critiqued and there is always more learning to do. Whether it be in the film room or on the field, there’s always something new when it comes to football. In school, I’m a very diligent worker, my work is always turned in on time and I give it my best effort. My school habits translate to what I do on the field. Learning a new play or learning a target in school requires the same things, time, patience, and repetition. There is no other sport in the world that I can think of that can bring people together and make them a family like football. Football is more than yourself, it’s about the team. What you do and how you act affects the players and coaches and impacts their performance. It’s key to be able to help and encourage your teammates to do better. I know that if anyone takes a chance on me, I'll put in my best effort to help better myself and the people around me. A huge part of my football success is my family, they support me in every way. They are at every game, home, away, rain, or snow. They continue to encourage and push me to become not only a better player, but a better man. The lessons my family preach to me resonate with me in a big way and help me on and off the field. Football is more than just a game to me. I’d work harder than any one person to make sure I become the best, as well as improve the team and the football program.
