Personal Statement
As a quiet observer, I have learned various skills with the help of many mentors and coaches that I have been privileged to work with since I was 6 years old. They have taught me to be dedicated, dependable, energetic, competitive but humble.
Even though I have very high confidence in my ability to succeed, I am very teachable and appreciate any candid feedback in order for my growth to continue. The feedback and teachable moments have allowed me to mature and grow in a sport that I am loyal to. Football has been part of my natural strengths since I learned this was something I loved to do. My ultimate goal is primarily to major in Accounting & Finance like my mother, and secondly have the privilege to continue my academics with the opportunity to play football.
Do I want to be part of college football? Most certainly! Many coaches, trainers and opponents have made me realize I have rare talent and strength. I didn’t believe them at first, but I self-reflected and realized, I am a top performer. I’ve proven my ability throughout my football years by receiving sportsmanship and defensive line awards, I’ve proven my strength through hitting internal records in weightlifting at my current high-school and most recently, I’ve been awarded Top Performer in recent camps I’ve attended while breaking my personal records.
In end, what makes me stand out of the crowd? My dedication to the sport, the competitive energy I bring to the field, my teachable nature and my “dummy strength” as most call it.
Thank you for your consideration as I navigate this next step in my life. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
