Dakyron Ward '16 Recruiting Profile

I have many goals for college, but first and foremost is to graduate. Education is important for me and I know it is something that could never be stripped away. Since I was a young boy, football has been my passion. I've been playing for 11 years and teaching the game is something I eventually see myself doing. I was never the biggest, strongest, or most athletic growing up, but I always knew in my mind what hard work and effort could get me. The places where I feel I separate myself from other players is my ability to quickly read a defensive back and make a decision on where to go within a split second. Also, nowadays many receivers spend a lot of time running and perfecting routes by never take out the time to work on catching with their hands. I have a 6'5 wingspan and feel as if I can out jump anyone in man on man coverage. There is no question that I am a great candidate for your team. Family like relationships are important to me and I love the thought of having a brotherhood where we all rely on each other in crunch time. I'm open about my faith and am the President of the Youth Department at my church. The desire to earn a degree and eventually do what I love drives me and football is the vice that will get me there. I'm committed to my future and I believe that God is with me every step of the way.
