I am a 5’6" slot wide receiver/cornerback for Hebron High School in Carrollton, TX. I am open to switching to whatever position that I’m needed in college. Some football players started playing football when they were kids. I’ve always played basketball and always thought basketball was my sport until I played football in 7th grade. I was told by many players that I could never play because I never play football, but I soon prove that it’s not the number of years you play football, but it’s how big your heart is and how much drive you have for football. I never let my size or lack of experience in football dictate how I play football. It never prevented me from moving from “C” team to “A” team within 1 football season.
Thus attending Hebron High, I was a starter wide receiver for Freshman Blue and Junior Varsity Blue. Due injury during my Junior year, I wasn't on the field as much as I would like, but that has not deterred my plans. My current goals, as I am back in my off-season routine, it to continue to add mass, get faster and more accurate in my catching. This is more than just a game to me. It’s my passion, my future. People might think being under sized is a curse, but to me, it’s a blessing. It teaches me that if you want something really bad, you have to go for it and work hard, harder than anyone else when giving the opportunities. I will give my all to one day play college football. I have adults coming to me after the games saying I am a diamond in the rough due to my size. I just tell them thank you and that I never let my size stop me from doing what I love.
I am looking for a college that would be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, endurance to make an impact on your program.
