Personal Statement
A busy life full of excitement; that’s my life. Sports have always been a part of me: volleyball, track, soccer, cross-country, and football all full of team effort and a heart full of joy. Not long ago I was introduced to the world of football, and not knowing what I was getting into I was afraid. Nevertheless my life was changed completely when I realized the passion and hard work that is put into each and every single play. Becoming a rookie my sophomore year of school was not a great way to begin, but after proving to the coaches that I could meet their standards the pressure on my shoulders eased.
Kicking a football is not easy at all, most people ask me what position I play and after I say “kicker and punter” they’re not very impressed. Why do people think its easy? Just because we’re not out their getting hit, they under estimate kickers. I believe that football kickers and punters are the most pressured aside from quarterbacks of course. We can decide how close the opponent team gets to our end zone, when our offense is down we are the coaches last and most efficient option, and of course we have the power to add points to the scoreboard. Obviously none of this could be done without my team and that is what inspires me. The hard work and effort each teammate gives on the field, the inspiring coach speeches, and of course the pain. These three components make the perfect dream, a dream that I would like to keep living. I would love to be a part of any opportunity that I will allow me to keep playing this wonderful sport. I hope to join a college football so that my dream and passion will last at least a couple more years. I hope that NCSA will be able to help me in this painful endless countdown of my dream.
