Luke Torbert '23 Recruiting Profile

First and foremost, I love Jesus. I'm the starting SS/QB and team captain for the Crawford Pirates. Crawford HS Football has a great winning tradition and is ranked 11th all time for winning percentage in the State of Texas (All school sizes). I love competing and aspire to be an impact player every snap, but my greatest gifting is leading others when the odds are against us. My favorite verse is Luke 16:10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Throughout my athletic career my coaches have entrusted me to lead the team both on and off the field, and it's that trust that drives me in all I do. A quote that really resonates with-in me is Abraham Lincoln — 'I'm a success today because I had a friend who believed in me and I didn't have the heart to let him down.' Weather it is a coach, teammate, friend, or boss, someone that believes in me, I'm not going to let them down.
