Personal Statement
Helping lead our team and winning the 2016-2017 TCAF Texas State Championship has definitely been one of the best moments of my high school career so far! Being put through that pressure, starting as a sophomore at quarterback, and having that experience has helped me to grow tremendously. I grew as a person, learned life lessons as a quarterback, and having that experience helped me to focus on becoming a stronger leader/captain for our team.
My family is my biggest support system. They’ve encouraged me, and held me accountable. I have been extremely blessed with a great athletic program - including the coaching staff. I am so thankful for them! I am a four sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball & fishing; all on the varsity level since my sophomore year). We placed 1st in state for football, 2nd in state for basketball, and 3rd in state for baseball (my sophomore year), and we have the potential, will, and work ethic to win more championships in the years to come! As a underclassman leader on the team, I’ve learned a lot of great values - like commitment, self sacrifices, dealing with conflict, problem solving, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance! I think being a leader as an underclassman has helped me to mature faster. I am looking for a program that is a perfect fit, and a team I can grow with. Plus, I’m looking forward to not only the athletic side of college, but the academic side of college as well. My goals after college are to own my own business in agricultural. I’m looking forward to building new friendships, and the memories that’ll come with it! I believe that I am capable of competing at the college level, and I know I have the desire, will, work ethic, responsibility, commitment, teamwork, and sacrifice to fit right into a team! I’m willing to fight to earn a spot on a team, listen, & learn from my peers, and my coaches.
God has blessed me with gifts and abilities that I take very seriously. I’ll always do my best represent my family, team, and school to best of my abilities.
