Although I really enjoyed going undefeated my freshman year and winning District, it was not until last year, my sophomore year, that development really occurred.
Although I had personal successes in achieving a rare honor of 1st Team All District honors as a sophomore, this difficult year for our team record was a year of maturity for me. Striving to compete at a Texas 6A level, I learned what teamwork, sacrifice and commitment meant on a whole new level in order to be successful. In this struggle, I refocused my efforts and I discovered what a team really is and what the next level should feel like; an atmosphere where strong bonds are formed the team is working towards one common and overriding goal, bigger than themselves, and when this happens, great things will come to that program. I am ready and willing to take the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills I am building to the collegiate level for a program that is a good fit for me athletically me as well as academically. As a leader on and off the field, I want to be an impact from day 1!
