Personal Statement
I strive to bring to competition the best version of myself on that day. For four quarters I bring the best I have to offer my team in leadership, focus, determination, will, strength, intellect, patience, energy and passion. I view preparation for game day as a big picture that demands nutrition, rest, training and classroom. I understand the importance of defensive play and encourage others on my team, not just our offensive unit. I feel blessed to be in the position I'm in and use it to make others realize their roles are vital down to the last detail. Our games are won on the line of scrimmage and I take pride in being a part of it. I take pride in the self esteem and dignity of my teammates. I often feel appreciated by our opponents as they see I have put forth the best effort possible out of respect. Athletes are human beings and perform well when embraced, not tolerated.
I am a big believer in higher education and hope to achieve this with the skills God gave me and make a contribution to the lives of everyone around me.
