The last eight months have been incredibly impactful on my life. I tore my ACL in November of 2020, but continued to play and practice through the pain for nearly 10 months before I asked to get a second opinion. Subsequently, I had my surgery in August 2021 and due to my aggressive rehabbing of my knee, I am now two months ahead of schedule. This injury and what it takes to get back on the field have changed my view on how football is privilege, not a right. By working hard with my coaches and strength conditioning team throughout the rehab process has grown my grit and work ethic immensely. While difficult to support my team from the sidelines, sitting out my 8th grade season facilitated a growth in my character to levels I could've never imagined. My goal since I ever set foot on the field was to be a elite Wide Receiver and play at the Collegiate level. I am currently striving to get stronger, faster and more precise each day and return back to my team in a starting role next season. Currently I am stronger and faster than I was before my surgery.
