Coaches, my name is Ben "Benny" Smith. I have been playing/studying football my entire life and I enjoy the games, practices and entire process it requires to have success. This past year I was the starting QB and helped lead my team to a 9-2 record, our best record. I was voted the MVP of our Team as well as Male Athlete of the Year for our school. In addition to playing football, I was also a starter on our Basketball and Baseball team. I was second team in TAPPS for both Basketball and Baseball. My sophomore year I was the starting SS and had a team high 5 interceptions however I feel playing QB is where I can help teams the most. I enjoy watching tape and breaking down the defensive. I have spent a lot of time with all my Coaches watching and talking about the film to better understand what each position needs to know and how they are preparing. I work extremely hard on the field and in the classroom. I am always willing to seek help both on and off the field. I want to put myself in a situation when I can continue to grow as a person, player and student.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal Statement.
Thanks,
Benny #2 - Shelton Chargers - Dallas - TX.
