I have the great privelage of playing football at Johnny Economedes High School. I was put on the varsity team in my sophomore year as a strong guard but always felt I wasn't living yo to my full potential as offensive guard. Although talented at the position, I felt that I could be doing more somewhere else. In a matter of a few months I lost almost 50 pounds and transferred over to defense where I'm waiting to show my talent in my junior year.
I love football because it practically saved my life. At the age of 13 I was 5'7 and weighed nearly 220 pounds. Football helped me gain control over my body and instilled the discipline a young man needs. I owe much to football and at times my love and drive for the sport is so great I put a play over my physical health. My sophomore year I suffered an injury at my 2nd varsity game I didn't know the extent of the injury until after the season ended, but a week and a half later I was back on the field training and doing my best. It wasn't until after my sophomore campaign was over that I saw a doctor and was notified I had played 80% of the season with a torn acl, meniscus, and mcl. My recovery has been quite fast and I'm expecting to get back onto the field as early as September of next season but until then I will continue to work hard to be a dominating force wherever I am.
