Bio of Terrence N. Tusan
I am a high-energy football player 5'7'', 160 lbs, 4.43, 33" vertical, 245-bench max, and 375-squat max. In the fall of 2009 my team was 5A Division I Texas State Champion, I was awarded State Champion MVP and 4th Round MVP, Coaches List and also selected 1st team All-District as a junior running back. I have played since I was five years old and have started on all teams I have played on. For most of my club ball years I played Iron man ball, playing running back on offence and linebacker or corner back on defense. My first year in Junior High I played for the school on Tuesday afternoon and on Saturdays I played for the Arlington Apaches and the Arlington Eagles. Most games in club ball I averaged 2 to 3 touchdowns per game, and also averaged 1 touchdown for every 2 to 3 touches. I also averaged the same for my JV team, and one game I also made 5 touchdowns, 3 on offense and 2 on defense. My Freshmen year I had 6 touchdowns, Sophomore year 10 touchdowns, and now 23 touchdowns in my Junior year. It is my dream to play college football and I am willing to bring a strong work ethic to any team that will allow me to succeed in achieving this monumental goal. My approach to football is that I must be three times as good as the next man due to my perceived lack of size. I have always been told that my heart is displayed in my work ethic and approach to the game. My play on the field makes me look three times my size(I run like Iam about 190 lbs). I lead by example on and off the field, and in the classroom. I am also a vocal leader on the field and in the locker room. I strive to be one of the first to arrive and have no problem working after practice to improve my skills. My education is the most important element of my future collegiate plans. Depending on the opportunity I am willing to go North, South, East, or West, as long as I can play on scholarship for a good team (HBCU's, Military, and Ivy League Teams).
A scholarship is very important due to my family's current economic situation. My parents are divorced, father is currently unemployed and my mother has raised me as a single mother since 1998. My father is very involved in my life, but due to the recent down turn of the country's economy things have been very difficult financially. My father is currently in school and accruing educational expenses so I would love to prevent further debt to the family for educational needs. I plan to pursue a degree in Business (possibly International Business) or The Divinity. My goal is to be the best academic athlete I can possibly be and to strive to play football at the highest level to hopefully win a couple National and Conference Championships during my college career. I am very spiritually grounded and I know with the help of GOD I will accomplish all my goals. I Pray that by the time I enter college I will have won my second Texas 5A State Championship.
