Personal Statement

My name is Justus H. Savage. I live in Fairfield, Texas. I am a rising junior and will graduate High school in 2025..  I began playing USA flag football when I was 4, and we won the Super Bowl! I was hooked from the beginning.  3-5th grade, I played 11 man in the fall and 6 man in the spring. My 8U 11 man team won the Super Bowl, and my 10U 6 man team went to the Super Bowl game, and lost a very close battle.  .  In junior high, I was awarded the top 6th grade athlete, and football MVP my 8th-grade year (In 7th grade there were no awards because of  Covid). I was one of 2 Freshman to make the JV Team at my High school, and played both sides of the ball and didn’t come off the field unless we were ahead by 20 or more points.

I played basketball for 5 years. And ran track for 2. I ran the 200, 800, and 300 hurdles. I never did place in any of those events. In high school, I have chosen to focus on Football, so I’m only doing football and powerlifting. In powerlifting, I won a second-place medal and 2 first-place medals in the invitational meets. I placed 23/64 in my region.  I will play 7 on 7 this spring with school, and am currently working with a personal trainer that focuses on strength and speed.   I play MLB and a wing (Z), but I have played almost every position before. Now, I wasn't good at most, but I will do my best at whatever position a coach puts me in.

I love to play football, hunt, fish and spend time with my family My mother was a Springboard Diver at Texas A&M in 1993.Now I'm now focusing on my grades, getting bigger, faster, and stronger. During the summer I will be attending a Mission trip with my church, and also work mowing yards.

My highschool runs a winged-T offensive formation and our deffence runs a 3-4 playbook.   If you want to see more of me you can look at my Twitter page @SavageJustus
