Personal Statement
Howdy,
Being a student athlete at the collegiate level would be a dream come true. What makes me different than most other athletes is my desire for excellence both on the playing field as well as in the classroom. Getting a degree from a respected and academically recognized school is just as important to me as getting to suit up on Saturdays. I realize that I am not going to be able to play football forever and having that degree is something that I can rely on. I am a leader on and off of the field as well as in our community. I'm not afraid of failure and hard work. I have experienced failure and losing but, it only makes success and winning that much sweeter. I have faced my fare share of adversity and injuries only to prevail. I gladly accept any and all leadership roles that could be bestowed upon me for I know I will only grow with these experiences. I may not be the best athlete to step foot on the field but, I will play like it. Unlike most, I can think independently and learn quickly. Whether it is picking up rocks, lifting weights, pushing the sled, or making the best grade on the test, I am going to compete and will not stray from the path of doing it the correct way. I want to be the greatest STUDENT ATHLETE possible.
