Personal Statement
I believe any athletes best attribute is the ability to face adversity. My sophomore year playing varsity football i tore my mcl. I did not know at the time how this would effect my ability to play in the future. But i put my trust in my trainers and coaches and i came back as the starting varsity middle linebacker. Not only that but i was reaching athletic goals that i would have never thought possible. My junior season has also been riddled with injuries. All it took was one cheap shot from another player and i broke my fibula. We still had 2 games left in the season and I went from being at my highest to being at my lowest.
Having to sit out those last few games and not be able to help my team on the field killed me. But after watching from the sidelines, I have never been hungrier for anything in my entire life. I am more than ready to kill the off season and get my team ready for the next season because I have learned that that is all there ever is. There is only ever the next moment, the next rep, the next play, the next practice, the next game, and the next season. To me, it does not matter how many times i got knocked down because i will always get up and knock adversity right back. That goes for in the weight room, on the field, in the classroom, and in life. That is why I am a good candidate for your team.
