Growing up my parents have always encouraged me to stay active in sports. I have participated in such sports as soccer, cross country, track, baseball and football. However, since being introduced to football at the age 11, I feel I have found my strength. Football has given me many life lessons on and off the field. Lessons that include mental and physical strength, discipline and since of personal empowerment. Football is a game of intelligence and grit. Playing the position of offensive lineman has taught me what it means to do a job well. Attributes such as knowing when to be aggressive when needed, when to defuse a situation or learning what it means to be humble. These are attribute I hope to contribute to a university academically , as well as athletically.
