Personal Statement
My name is Cameron Clamon and I am a 6’3 200 pound Quarterback from Kemp, TX. I am 4 time Class President, Beta Club member, and Spanish Club member. After being backup quarterback in Junior High School I devoted my High School career to becoming starting varsity quarterback by staying after, coming early, and staying in the weight room non-stop to become stronger. After a year on JV and a 7-3 season, I was stuck behind a quarterback in the same grade as me as a Sophomore. I prepared like a starter, watching film and taking notes. Later I got my opportunity to start due to an injury, and I never looked back going 5-1 as a starter my Sophomore year, earning myself 2nd Team All-District, 1st Team All-County. Going into my Junior year my team was ranked in the top 20 in 3A-1 and I helped put together a 13-2 State Semi-finalists appearance and 37 Total Touchdowns also earning 1st Team All-District and 1st Team All-County. After graduating I will hold numerous school records such as All-Time passing yards leader, All-Time Touchdowns (Passing and Rushing), and All-Time Wins. I believe football is the ultimate team sport because it teaches you to correspond with others and trust others while you do your job. Football also uses tools like deadlines and mental toughness that men will carry with them into the real world and the work force and will make men successful husbands, dads, brothers, etc.
