Personal Statement
Hello, My Name is Zane Hayman and I play offensive tackle and offensive guard at La Porte High School in La Porte, Tx. I have played football in La Porte for five years starting in junior high. My passion for the sport has grown more and more immensely as I have played each year and I have set my sights on playing college football. To meet this goal, I realized how hard I needed to work, so I began training at home, along with attending training at Michael Johnson Performance in McKinney, Tx, as well as working with an offensive line coach from Heavy Metal Fitness in San Antonio, TX and attending O-line Camps at Plex in Missouri City, Tx and summer camps held at various college campuses for the last two years. My parents will take me where I need to be to achieve my goals and do what is in my best interest to get me to the finish line. There are no days off when it comes to achieving your goals and I have the support of many people to get me where I want to be. In my 2019-2020 Season I started on my school’s Junior Varsity A team, as well as earning this position I also earned a spot on the LPHS 2019-2020 Elite 11 which is the top 11 football players with the highest Grade Point Average in the program. This year, I will strive academically to be part of the Elite 11 once again. I have also worked hard all summer to lose weight, gain muscle and get faster feet to earn my spot on the varsity team and for the 2020-2021 season, and I will be a starting offensive lineman on the Varsity team. With my strength, discipline and determination I know I have what it takes to bring strength to the offensive line at any college that will give me the right opportunity to do so. Like Vince Lombardi once said, “There’s only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything.” I give it my everything to succeed and strive to be successful everyday and that will never stop.
