When I think about the next chapter of my life and what I envision for college it causes me to look back and reflect on my life, my families’ influences, choices I have made, the people I choose to call friends and the team I call family. I’m committed to be the very best person, son, brother and friend off the field and the best teammate, player, leader on the field. I am also aware that my behavior and choices are a reflection not just on me, but my family, my team, my school and my community. At 5'10" and 260 lbs I know I'm not the biggest guy on the field, but what I lack in size, I make up for in strength, determination and heart.
I expect to go to a university that offers a challenging course rigor that will set me up for success upon graduation and prepare me for graduate school, as well as a challenging athletic program that is dedicated to championing for their athletes success on the field.
Over the years I’ve grown to see the value in the whole, something bigger than myself…I was blessed to play football since the first grade with most of our core team. I have built lifelong friendships based on trust, dedication, hard work and determination knowing that we were all there to push ourselves individually and collectively to go to State our senior year. It's a testament to teamwork, because through it all I have come to realize no one individual can make it happen. It’s about building and being part of a family. For me, it’s about positively impacting all that I do and those I touch daily, playing the game I love and the pursuit of leaving a legacy.
