Personal Statement

I understand that I will not have the height and mass to most likely play OL.  In the camps and combines that I have been participating in I have been working at Linebacker.  The inside LB, HB/FB, and TE positions are all ones I really enjoy playing on our 7 on 7 team, which I am having a lot of fun doing.  I hope that you can see from my video my speed, ability to attack,  driving and blocking, and then from my overall stats what I have to offer physically.  I will work hard and smart in whatever position will work for the team.  I have the ability to move from position to position to do what will aid our team.

My athletic goal is to fulfill my dream as a college athlete by pushing myself to my fullest potential, as well as pushing my team to reach our collective goals.  My academic goal is to obtain a degree in either business or computer science or to become a teacher and high school football coach.  I am already working towards these dreams.  In 2016, I participated in the Texas High School State Lineman Challenge at Hardin Simmons and helped the Liberty Hill High School team win its first state championship.  Furthermore, I played a major role in our second playoff game this season.  In the second quarter, we were losing and I was called off the bench to replace one of our starters.  I went on to play the remainder of the game, where we won in overtime.  In the weight room, I push my teammates to their fullest potential by encouraging them to not settle with the weight that comes easily, but rather to continuously work up to something more challenging.  I listen to their encouragement as well and then we as a team can reach our goals and achieve success. I have also given back to my community where I have put in my own time to help coach the Liberty Hill youth football team.   Ultimately, I am a young man of values, and I will hold myself accountable to uphold the values of my team, coaches, friends, school, and parents.
