Personal Statement
Being moved up to varsity my sophomore year was a huge turning point for me in my football career. It gave me confidence I needed to show that I can compete with people who out matched me in every physical aspect, and helped me grow as a player. Making it to the playoffs that year was incredible site to be a part of, especially knowing that our school hadn't been to the playoffs in over a decade. Getting to be apart of that journey aided me in fighting any anxiety I had about playing varsity at such a young age and has helped me become a leader for the team. I feel having this knowledge and experience gives me the opportunity to help guide us to more playoff appearances. With the up and coming year I'm more excited to see what is in store for my team and for myself and my future to be a standout athlete in college football.
Being apart of the New Caney football program has guided me to become more than just a player but also a leader on and off the field, as well as helping me with my academic ventures. I plan to attain 3.0 GPA or higher in high school and college. Through this program I've been taught to appreciate the values of commitment, effort, responsibility, character, and more. I believe I have the skills and knowledge on and off the field to impact and college program I go to. Being more than just and outstanding athlete, being a leader and using my drive to work hard and be the best player I can be.
