Personal Statement
My name is Daniel Byers. I am a senior at Panhandle High School. I have been the starting left guard for 2 years. This last season I was named to the 2A All-District First Team Offense, Academic All-State and Honorable Mention Academic All-State. I was named Honorable Mention Guard by the TSWA. My junior year I was named to the 2A All-District First Team Offense, Academic All-District, and 3rd Team All-State Guard. After my junior year, I played in the Down Under Bowl in Australia, representing Texas. I was named to the Amarillo Globe-News 2019 Super Team Offense. When I'm off the field, I am competitive in my academics. I am a member of the National Honor Society. To help with my competitiveness in the classroom, I'm taking dual credit courses. When I'm not in school, I am involved in other activities. I have obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. I am also a 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador in the sport of archery.I plan on attending college to get a degree in Computer Science and Accounting.
