Sean Minshew '17 Recruiting Profile

My story began in a quiet town on a little patch of grass near the city park football field.

I was three years old when introduced to flag football; suited in full pads by age four. Fifteen years later, I am still holding on to the dream and working hard to make it happen.

I've played most positions and have been on both offense and defense. I have played in all- star championship games and on select teams. Undefeated in 7th, 8th and 9th grade. Made it to district play offs as a starting Sophomore and Area Champions Junior year.

I am as dedicated to my grades as I am football. I was diagnosed at the age of four with dyslexia and learning disabilities. I do not use this as an excuse, I push through and work harder than most to maintain a 3.1 GPA. I want to pursue a career as a fireman and hope to own a fencing company.

I enjoy spending time with my family and volunteering my time to charities in order to support my community. Every year I help the Chamber of Commerce by putting out hundreds of American Flags during Memorial Day and Veterans Day. I also volunteer working at a mechanic shop when I have any free time.
