Personal Statement

I am dependable to my team, friends and to my family. On and off the field I serve with all my heart. Respecting other people's opinions is how I was raised and I carry that attitude with me where ever I go and it has helped me get along with many different people.

I represent my team and my school where ever I am. Most importantly, I represent my family in everything I do. I am coachable and I refuse to be a loser. Even though losing sometimes happens, it doesn't tear me down, I get up and keep going forward with a positive attitude. My biggest competitor is myself. My goal  is to do better every time. My team mates are my family and I never want to let them down.

When I started playing football in 7th grade I was mocked by my teammates and was told I was not good enough. Even one of my coaches told me I was not meant for the game. My feelings were hurt, but I refused to settle for the negative because I knew what I was capable of doing. The negative became my fuel to work even harder. I moved up teams in a just a year. 2years later my coach who had told me I wasn't meant for the game, met me in high school and saw how good I had become and he said "Josh, I'm sorry I was wrong. You are good at this" I will never forget that. I know I was not born to lose, but win

I practice like I am playing, there is never a dull moment for me on the field and I chose to live my life the same way. I believe that life should be fun when I do what I love best. Football is my passion and I know that I was born to play the game. I am a go-getter, never taking plays off. I am an honest, reliable, team player, accountable, hard worker. I am always doing my best to excel in all my classes.  2015/2016 has been even brighter year, in class, weight room and on the practice field.  I redshirted and I trained like I was playing.  I am a part of a great team and I am ready to play my role as we take this Moorpark Football team to the net level. God created me to play this game. NFL is my dream destination with this career and I am determined. I hope to have my own Athletic Business in the future.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
