Personal Statement
From an early age I knew I loved to kick a ball...and I realized that I could kick it far and accurately. I have played competitive soccer all of my life and had the opportunity to play at the highest level competing with elite teams from all over the country. It has been my blessing to be surrounded by great coaches and teammates who helped influence who I am as an athlete and a person. Learning important lessons of hard work, preparation, accountability, trust, and fun have helped me develop personal skills so that I can perform at a high level in my individual duties and contribute to the success of my team.
This same dedication is helping drive me to be the best player I can be as I transition to football. Kicking a football came easy to me at the beginning and I was hooked the very first time I kicked a ball through the uprights. Having played now for two years on my High School freshman and sophomore teams has been incredible...but it is just the beginning of my journey. That passion that started after my very first kick is still there each time I step on the field to make a kick, whether it is a PAT, a field goal, a punt, or a kick off. I am confident as I stand ready to make my approach because I know I have prepared and can kick with confidence.
I maintain a similar dedication and work ethic off the field as well and focus on my school work and getting good grades. Playing football at the next level is my goal, but I understand that earning an education will build a solid foundation for the rest of my life. Prioritizing my time and efforts allows me to be successful in the class room first, so that I can step on the field and perform my best with no outside distractions.
My goal is to play soccer college and hopefully beyond, and I will do what it takes to make that happen. I will be thrilled with an opportunity to play in college and whoever I play for will get my very best everyday on and off the football field. I look forward to talking with you about my talent and abilities and how they will contribute to your team and university. Thank you
