Personal Statement
I am a dedicated student athlete that excels not only on the field but also in the classroom. I am in two college classes through my high school which are referred to as "concurrent enrollment classes", as well as AP Calculus and AP Physics. I have been on the honor every quarter since the beginning of junior high. My overall goal in life is to become an orthopedic surgeon but I want to play some football throughout my journey. I have been the offseason captain for my high school team the past two years and was a varsity in season captain for the second time this previous year. Captains are voted in by our fellow players. I love to be a leader and lead by not only using my voice but also by example.
I am currently a three sport varsity athlete and my freshman year I played four sports. I now only play football, hockey, and baseball. I enjoy keeping in shape, working hard, and studying the game of football. There is always more to learn about football, so I try to be as much of a student of the game as a player of the game. I played quarterback for three years and have now switched to wide receiver. Playing quarterback allowed me to learn a lot more about schemes and strategies of football than I would have learned at another position.
