I constantly strive to develop and improve myself both academically and athletically.
Athletically I use this desire to push my teammates to become better. I never "settle". My dad coached me from the beginning and did not allow me to get special treatment or favors because I was the coach's kid. He held me to a higher standard because I set the example of what was expected. This has been reinforced by my high school football coach, Jantz Afuvai. He teaches accountability for ones actions, be coachable, and always have a positive attitude. As Captain, I expect nothing less from myself or members of my team.
Academically I have challenged myself in the classroom. I did not take bare minimum requirements. I enrolled in classes that interested me and required me to think. I helped those that struggle both athletes and non if in need in the classroom. I am continuing to prepare myself for the next level which will be college.
The skills learned and characteristics developed growing up will help me bring a positive aspect to any college team. Both on and off the field.
