My goals and aspirations for college include attending a four-year university and majoring in psychology. I am planning to major in psychology because I want to be able to help people. Specifically, I am interested in working with troubled kids on a daily basis and majoring in psychology is the most viable way I can think to do that. Psychology is a big dream of mine because I like helping people but also this is a good challenge for me. I would like to go to a four-year school because I want the full college experience.
I believe that I am a great candidate for your team because of my coachable personality and attitude, strong work ethic, athletic ability, and love for the game. For all of my life starting in youth athletics through my current high school programs, all of my coaches have remarked at how coachable I am. I love to study film and am constantly trying to learn new techniques so I can get better every day.
My parents have taught me that a good work ethic is the key to success and I honestly couldn’t agree more. Having a good work ethic makes me hard working and not willing to quit until the job is done. While my athletic ability has room for improvement, my work ethic helped to earn me spots on the varsity wrestling team as a Freshman and varsity football as a Sophomore. Even though I just completed only my second year of organized football, I believe that my work ethic will enable me to play successfully at the next level. I love the game of football, I love the aggression and power needed to play in this intense sport. Football makes me feel more powerful than any other activity or sport can make me feel.
What makes me different from other recruits is my ability in both the classroom and on the field as well as my work ethic. My grades are not where they should be right now, I haven’t been applying myself as I should. I realize I can do much better and will do better. On the field my full potential hasn’t been reached yet, it is only my second year playing football. I will work every day in the weight room and on the field to become the best that I can be. My work ethic in class could be worked on however my work ethic on the field is great. I am the first one to practice and the last one to leave.
I look forward to speaking with you in the near future and I thank you for your consideration.
